Local Law 152 Compliance Notice
New in 2020, Local Law 152 requires almost all New York City buildings to undergo a gas line inspection once every four years. Failure to complete the inspection will result in a civil penalty of up to $5,000.00. The law requires an inspection performed by a New York City Licensed Master Plumber (“LMP”) of all exposed gas piping from the point of entry up to, but not including, individual tenant spaces, as well as gas leak survey of all common areas and mechanical rooms.
